Okay, so I went a little crazy. A couple of weeks ago, when Pam Kitty Picnic was released, I decided that buying the fat quarter bundle wasn't economical because I might've gotten stuck with 2 or 3 prints that I didn't need, so why pay for those, right? So in a deranged state of mind--with a coupon in hand--I decided instead to buy half-yards of only the ones I had to have.
At first I tried to play it cool--and just added these to my "had to have" e-cart...
...I think these are the cutest text fabrics I've ever seen. I need at least 10 more yards of it.
But anyway, then I started thinking, "I never have enough green" and "this pink is perfect" and "really, who expects me to live without these polka dots?" and "what's life if I can't have these florals?". I was giving my husband paranoid sideways glances while I continued to add and add to my cart while he had his face glued to the television.
I got to the point where I had one eye closed so I couldn't see the side of the computer where the total was being calculated; but still I had to ask myself, "what if I wanted to make a patriotic quilt one day?" It would be impossible without these...
Anyway, when it was all said and done, I had purchased 30 (yes, I said 30) half-yards of Pam Kitty Picnic (and I didn't know that number until I just counted them for this post)! I get a stomach-ache just thinking about it. So I'm going to tell my husband that this is my Christmas present and I don't want anything else, but I hope he doesn't take me seriously ;)
So, if you're interested (and like great odds) click here. Or on the picture of the magazine.
Linking up at Mollie Sparkles for Sunday Stash.
Gorgeous stash, and I know it's just a little glimpse into your fabric world.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I just wish I had more time to use it all:)
DeleteThe part about your husband is soo funny to me. I thought immediately of mine. He sneaks in and takes a peek at my stash to see what I am up to. Hehehe! Lovely fabrics!
ReplyDeleteMen are so silly. My husband doesn't mind spending a money on his electronics but then he gives me the evil eye when he sees me buying fabric. I think fabric is way more useful than high def:)
Deleteahaha the glances are what I do with my husband! I sneakily ordered some Christmas fabric last night while he was on his computer behind me, and I had to log into my online bank account to get my credit card number because I didn't want to arouse suspicion by getting up to find my wallet!
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing off those Recipe text prints but took them out of my cart the other day when I bought some things because I wasn't quite sure if I really needed them... seeing your photo made me realise that yes, I really do need them ;)
Jo
That is so funny! We get our mail at a post office box and I sneak the fabric packages in the house when my husband is in the shower or in bed. :)
DeleteGirl, I like the way you think!! Of course you needed all those fabrics, they are so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThose text prints are so awesome - I've never seen those before! I so don't need them, but I kind of want them now......
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wallpaper an entire room with the text prints!
DeleteThanks Melissa and I hope you get them soon:)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, those text prints are delicious.
ReplyDeleteThe fabric that looks like old school papers is so dang cool!
ReplyDeleteLOL!, FUNNY! Gurl, you shop just like me. When I shop, I SHOP. Go big or go home, I always say. I usually wait until Mr. Sparkles has left the building that way I don't have to put up with his sideways glances at me (I'm sure he knows what I'm up to! haha) There are some great additions here, and I see why you couldn't just say no! Thanks for linking up and I expect to see lots more of you in 2014. Mwah!
ReplyDeleteWow you and I do the same thing! I did it just the other day again and again;) lol 4 purchases later I was satisfied and had myself a Merry little Christmas to me moment! We have to spoil ourselves once in awhile right!
ReplyDeleteSeriously Cristina, I think we were separated at birth. You were just lucky enough to be a Texan and I get stuck up here in the northwest. Those text prints are my favoritest EVER and I seriously need a bolt of every single one of them. I'm getting quite a few yards of the white one to be the background on my PKMorning Dresden quilt that I started ages ago. It's just too pretty to not use!
